Toledo Spain

As part of our Visa trip, we took a side trip, via bullet train that travels over 150 mph, to Toledo Spain. Toledo is located 70 km south of Madrid and consists of Christian, Jewish, and Moorish cultures. It is very different city than Madrid and has its own special charm and culture as the photographs below will show.

The streets are cobble stone, narrow, and lined with speciality shops on both sides of the street. Toledo is known for its fine steel, and many shops sold cutlery, knives, and swords of high quality.

This cathedral was closed for renovations and was not available for tours.

This is a Jesuit Monastery and is open for religious service and public tours.

The inside of the monastery is absolutely beautiful with exquisite and magnificent art work.

We climbed into the bell tower in the monastery, and this is one of the views. Another must see city.
